Newsweek, Better Homes and Gardens, Rolling Stone, and Runner’s World. These are just a few of the popular publications available digitally from Central Arkansas Library System (CALS). The library is offering a free service, Zinio, to make more than 60 magazine titles available to CALS patrons in a digital format.
Zinio, named Best New Database of 2012 by Library Journal, creates better ways for people to discover published content, get more out of it, and do more with it. Zinio provides the ability to search inside, read, share, save, and purchase digital content to read on any screen. Readers can move within each publication page between text, interactive graphics, animated illustrations, video, and more.
Using the Service
Note: ?Patrons who have never used Zinio through CALS will create a new account using your library card number and email address. Once your account is set up, you may read your magazines on the Zinio website through your browser or on your mobile device using the Zinio for Libraries app. Any magazines you check out will remain available to you until you delete them from your account.
First-time user? Need to set up your CALS Zinio account? Download the Setup and Checkout Guide to prepare your account.

Apply Online for a Library Card
Pulaski or Perry County residents can request a library card by completing an online application or at any CALS library. Your library card will be mailed to your home address and photo identification must be presented to complete the application process.
A parent or legal guardian should accompany minors who do not have photo identification. If you live in a nearby county ask about the Gateway Project. If you are not a resident of Pulaski or Perry County or of any of the counties that participate in the Gateway Program, you may purchase a nonresident library card for the fee of $60 per year.
