In order to fulfill our mission to provide information, the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) is providing public access to the Internet. The Internet is a global, digital network with no centralized control over its users or content. CALS recognizes that the cost of providing connectivity to the Internet is expensive, and that the library's scarce resources must be deployed in an efficient manner. Therefore, it is CALS' goal that the Internet be used primarily to facilitate learning. Because of the unique nature of this information resource, users should be aware of the following:

  • Not all information resources on the Internet provide accurate, complete or current information. Users are expected to be good information consumers, questioning the validity of any information retrieved.
  • Restriction of a child's access to the Internet is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
  • CALS assumes no responsibility for any costs, liability, or damages, direct or indirect, arising from the use of its computing resources or from use of the Internet.
