FOCAL Book Sale Offers Great Deals on Books Nov. 9-11

There are great deals to be had in the Main Library basement during the Friends of Central Arkansas Libraries (FOCAL) used book sale on November 9-11. Shelves are filled with books of every genre, and the prices are just right for affordable holiday gifts: paperback books are $.50 and hardback books are $1. The sale is open to the public from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 1-4 p.m. on Sunday. FOCAL members have early access to the Main Library basement at 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

FOCAL members will also receive 50% off gently read books throughout the sale at River Market Books & Gifts. Sale hours at River Market Books & Gifts are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday. River Market Books & Gifts, operated by the Central Arkansas Library System, is the largest used book store in the area, with an excellent selection of books and gifts on three floors.

FOCAL members are invited to shop at the Preview Party Sale on Thursday, November 8, from 5-7 p.m. at River Market Books & Gifts. Memberships are available at the door.

The Main Library is located at 100 Rock Street, and River Market Books & Gifts is located in the Cox Creative Center on the Main Library campus at 120 River Market Avenue.

Funds from the book sale help the Central Arkansas Library System provide programs at branches and book club kits, as well as Summer Reading Club and special Saturday programming for children at the Main Library.
